Stickies you open together
The weekly relationship check-in you open together
All week, each of you adds sticky notes about what went well, what didn't and what you want next. They stay sealed until the time you picked. Then the board opens for both of you at once, and you talk.

Sunday walk ♥
How Couples Retro works
1.
Write all week
Something good happens on Tuesday, something stings on Thursday. Drop a sticky into What went well, What didn't or What we want next while it's fresh.
2.
Sealed until the reveal
Your partner sees how many notes you've written, never what they say. Pick your reveal time together, like Sundays at 7:30 pm or the end of the month.
3.
Open it together
At the reveal the board opens on both phones at once. React to each other's notes, mark them talked about, and carry the rest into next week.
Three columns, one board for the two of you
Couples Retro borrows the retrospective that good teams run at the end of a sprint and makes it cosy. Each note is a sentence or two about a real moment, written the day it happened instead of remembered on Sunday.
Because notes stay sealed, the hard ones arrive next to the kind ones, at a time you both chose. Read more in our guide to the relationship retrospective.
What went well
You called my mom on her birthday without me asking. I noticed. It meant a lot.

What didn't
We kept scrolling at dinner on Thursday. I missed you.
Maya · Thu
What we want next
Tuesday's walk to the market, no phones. Can we do that every week?

Inside the app
From the first sticky on Monday to the board you open on Sunday.

Made for a slow Sunday evening
The reveal is the best part of the week. Everything around it is there to make sure it happens.
- Four ways to react
- Love this, Thank you, Agree or Let's talk. A quick answer to every note, before you even sit down.
- Talked about
- Mark notes as you go. A progress bar shows how many you've covered, with no rush to finish.
- Carry it forward
- Close the board when you're done. Notes you didn't get to move into next week.
- Every week, kept
- Past boards stay for both of you, so you can scroll back through months of good weeks.
- Gentle reminders
- An optional nudge the day before, and a notification the moment your board opens.
- Countdown widget
- Put the countdown to your next reveal on your Home Screen.
- Three themes
- Cork Board, Photo Wall or Blossom. Pick the board that feels like yours.
- Private by design
- Sealed notes never reach your partner's phone before the reveal. No ads, no tracking.

Questions
What is a relationship check-in?
A relationship check-in is a short, regular conversation where a couple talks about how things have been going: what felt good, what was hard, and what they want next. Most couples do it weekly or once a month at a set time. Learn more →
How does Couples Retro work?
During the week, each of you adds sticky notes to three columns: What went well, What didn't, and What we want next. Your notes stay sealed until the reveal time you both picked, then the board opens for both of you at once and you talk it through. Learn more →
Can my partner read my notes before the reveal?
No. Before the reveal your partner only sees how many notes you have written. The words are not sent to their phone until the board opens.
What should we talk about in a weekly check-in?
Start with what went well, then one or two things that didn't, then what you want for next week. Keep hard topics to one at a time and end on a plan you both agree on. Learn more →
How do I bring up a problem without starting a fight?
Pick a calm, planned moment instead of the middle of an argument, and describe how you felt rather than what your partner did wrong. Writing it down first and raising it at your check-in gives both of you time to cool off. Learn more →
Should we check in weekly or monthly?
Weekly works well for busy couples because small things don't pile up. Monthly suits couples who already talk a lot day to day. Couples Retro lets you pick a weekly reveal or an end-of-month one. Learn more →
How much does Couples Retro cost?
One partner subscribes to Couples Retro Pro and the other joins free. Pro is $7.99 a week with a 3-day free trial, or $39.99 a year, which works out to about $0.76 a week.
How does my partner join?
Start a board, then share your 8-character invite code or invite link. Your partner downloads the app, signs in with Apple, and enters the code to join your board.
Is Couples Retro on Android?
Not yet. Couples Retro is for iPhone and needs iOS 26 or later, so both partners need an iPhone to share a board.
